Automation is one of the necessary conditions for creating comfort in everyday life. The automatic drive for the gate to the estate or in the garage allows you to save time: there is no need to leave the car at the entrance and departure. This is especially important if it rains on the street.

Rules that should be observed when installing

1. The side walls of the opening, which will be installed, should be strong enough to withstand the weight of the gate and drive. Weak plaster must be removed or rolled the opening around the perimeter wide (70-100 mm) metal corner.

Where to start

The homemade drive for the gate is easiest to install on the swing gate: their design is the easiest. The following tools will be needed:

• cellular machine (Bulgarian);
• roulette and marker;
• electric drill;
• screwdriver with nozzles;
• hammer, pliers;
• set of hex keys;
• welding machine.

You should choose automation capable of cope with the load. It is recommended to install drives to the gate of the factory manufacture: they are more reliable. Cheaper to purchase a set of sectional gates of suitable size and then using the manufacturer's instructions, collect design.

Gate

To correctly measure the opening, you need to learn not only its height and width, but also diagonally, after which it is possible to choose the greatest value. It should be borne in mind that for the installation of the gate in the garage there should be free space:

• 300 mm above the doorway;
• 450 mm left and right from the opening;

The height of the ceiling should not be below 2.1 m (taking into account all communications laid under the ceiling). Select the type of automation (happen lever and linear). For this:

1. We determine the distance between the inside of the pillar (opening) and loop. If it is within 110-150 mm - choose a linear type. Such automation is cheaper. Due to the missing levers, the system is also aesthetically attractive. In case the distance is 150-300 mm - the lever drive is installed.
2. The optimal set is selected based on the size of the sash and the calculated wind load.

Important: Before installing the drive, you must explore the instruction developed by the manufacturer. All recommendations and instructions are mandatory.

The drive for the retractable gate, as a rule, is equipped with the goal of entry-departure to the territory of the enterprise. For the estate, the gates are recommended.

Drive for swing gates with their own hands

Automation of factory manufacturer from CAME or NICE (Italy), Dorhan (Russia) is expensive (some models - up to 1000 cu). Therefore, it is worth thinking about how to make a drive yourself. For this:

• two activators are purchased with anchor-type engines and are installed on the calculated place;
• the drive fastening is performed independently: so that the flaps be opened by 180 degrees;
• activators use such that will ensure the closure of the sash in any case (in the absence of sensors, the speed of the movement of the leaf will be different).

Such work is not for everyone, therefore it will be easier to purchase and independently install the industrial manufacture. Installation instructions involves the following actions.

1. Placed the place of attachment of the drive on the columns of the opening in accordance with the installation dimensions specified in the instructions.
2. Mounted mounting bracket. The mounting method is selected depending on the material of the column.
3. A straight lever is installed and the engine is attached.
4. The curved lever is screwed into its place, and it is an front bracket.
5. Checking the device adjustment and the correct operation of the safety elements and unlock drive.
6. The front bracket is attached to the sash using screws. To do this, drill two holes in advanced places.
7. The limit switches are configured. Before this you need to unlock the drive and open the gate manually.
8. The flaps are completely closed, with the terminal switch block must occupy the desired position. The screw of the terminal block (if necessary) you need to weaken.
9. After blocking the electric drive, power is connected. The mechanism setting is checked: the gate opens several times and closed. If necessary, the exact setting is performed and the screws are tightened.
